Beaty, Strayer named Riverside Seniors of the Month

Riverside High School has announced its March seniors of the month.

Congratulations to Maggie Beaty and Evan Strayer.

 

Maggie Beaty is the daughter of Robert and Brandi Beaty.

School activities & awards: honda achievement of excellence breakfast- earned from american government class, cross country certification of completion, spanish, honors english, hs cross country, donated blood, Unicef Club member, BPA member- business professionals of america, service projects committee, car wash committee, placed 3rd in team global marketing, placed 8th in management, marketing and human resources concept, placed 2nd in website design team, power lifting club, competed at regional placing 5th along my weight class and attended state invitational powerlifting meet (ranked 13th among my weight class),

If I were principal for a day: I would have a nap class where you sleep for a whole period.

Favorite school memory: Playing powderpuff flag football as a senior and losing.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My biggest inspiration would have to be Mrs. Marks. She always inspired me to be my best self and try my hardest, both as a student and as a team member for sports.

My advice to parents: Always cherish the moments you have with your kids now cause it ends quicker than you think.

My biggest regret: I regret not being more involved in the different programs or sports our school offers.

Most embarrassing moment: Stuttering while saying the announcements

Next year I will be: Off at a college and hopefully still working at Wal-Mart.

 

Evan Strayer is the son of Josh Strayer and Ashley Parthemore.

School activities & awards: Football, Skills USA, & Quiz Bowl

If I were principal for a day: erase all math from existence.

Favorite school memory: Water balloon war in Mr. Switzer’s class.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My stepdad, because he is pretty cool.

My advice to parents: go with the flow.

My biggest regret: Going to school almost every day.

Most embarrassing moment: Any presentation I’ve done in the last 4 years.
