Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 16000 block of State Route 235 in Belle Center in reference to a domestic that occurred between a husband and a pregnant wife Sunday afternoon around 2:45.

Upon the deputy’s arrival, they stopped at a residence where the wife was currently with neighbors away from her husband, William Salyer, 30.

She stated she went into the bathroom and looked at her husband’s apple watch and found messages that showed he had been cheating on her. The victim then walked into the living room, tossed the watch onto the couch, and confronted him. She stated her husband instantly got off the couch and started attacking her in front of their two kids. Salyer was choking and squeezing her neck, hitting her in the head, knocking her down to the ground, and kicking her in the stomach.

The victim stated Salyer took her phone and smashed it, preventing her from calling for help. She was able to get away with the kids and leave the residence to find someone to help.

Deputies went into the residence to speak with the Salyer. He said his wife went through his phone and found out he was talking to another female. Salyer stated she threw the apple watch at him and hit him in the face with it. She then head-butted him and punched him in the nose. Salyer stated he pushed her back and she kept coming at him and hitting him.

After the wife and kids left the residence, Salyer broke a few items in the home.

Salyer was placed under arrest for domestic violence.

He was transported to the Logan County Jail.

The female was issued a summons for a domestic violence charge.
