The City of Bellefontaine has announced the 2025 dates for Free Garage Sale Saturdays, as part of a new ordinance aimed at simplifying the home and yard sale process.
According to Ordinance No. 11:29, which amends Section 717.04 of the city’s codified ordinances, residents can hold garage and yard sales without needing a permit on the following dates:
- Saturday, June 7th & June 14th – North of Columbus Avenue
- Saturday, June 21st & June 28th – South of Columbus Avenue
These dates are part of a city-wide effort to designate four Saturdays each summer for free sales in the community.
This applies to sales held between Memorial Day and Labor Day, with no permit fee required for residents participating on these dates.
This ordinance aims to make it easier for residents to sell items without the usual $5 permit fee and encourages community engagement.
