Bellefontaine Service-Safety Director Wes Dodds has released the fall leaf pickup schedule.
The Street Department will begin collection on an on-call basis the week of October 13.

The regular pickup schedule will run as follows:
- October 20–22: North of Columbus Avenue and east of Main Street
- October 23, 24 & 27: South of Columbus Avenue and east of Main Street
- October 28 & 29: South of Columbus Avenue and west of Main Street
- October 30 & 31: North of Columbus Avenue and west of Main Street
A second round is tentatively scheduled:
- November 3–5: Northeast sector
- November 6, 7 & 10: Southeast sector
- November 12 & 13: Southwest sector
- November 14 & 17: Northwest sector
Leaf Pickup Guidelines
- Leaves should be piled in the boulevard or as close to the street as possible, but not in the street or on sidewalks.
- Do not park vehicles in front of leaf piles.
- The leaf machine cannot collect branches, brush, trash, or bagged leaves.
- By law, refuse collection does not pick up leaves or other yard waste.
City Ordinance 521.12 prohibits placing grass clippings, trimmings, flowers, or other material in streets or alleys that may clog storm sewers.
