The City of Bellefontaine has certified candidates for the November 4th election, including petitions and write-ins.
For President of Council, Danielle Buchanan, Ben Stahler, and Miranda Warren are on the ballot.
Current President Zeb Wagner will not be returning, leaving the position open.
Mark Fissel has filed as a write-in candidate for Treasurer.
For Member of Council-at-Large, there are three positions open with four candidates running.
Incumbents Jenna James (R) and Kyle Springs (R) are seeking re-election, joined by Wes Easton (R) and Tim Steinhelfer (D).
In the ward races, First Ward’s John Aler is stepping down from Council, leaving one position open with two candidates vying for the spot: Sarah Lewis (D) and Devin Palmer (R).
Jordan Reser (R) is running unopposed in the 2nd Ward, Nick Davis (R) in the 3rd Ward.
In the 4th Ward, currently occupied by MacKenzie Fitzpatrick, the seat will be open as Fitzpatrick will not be returning after the end of the year.
Mick Lile (R), a returning councilman after taking one term off, is running for the 4th Ward seat.
The certified candidates now await the November election, where voters will decide leadership for the upcoming term.
