Recently, the Bellefontaine Shade Tree Commission recognized the winners of its inaugural Neighborhood Beautification Program with an engraved garden stone and a yard sign.
The program celebrates residents who enhance the beauty of Bellefontaine by taking pride in the landscaping of their homes.
For the first award, committee members nominated several residences and voted after reviewing photos of each property.
The winners of the inaugural Neighborhood Beautification Award are Jack, Karen, and Lora Beair of 228 North Park Street.
The Commission is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Neighborhood Beautification Program.
Residents can submit an address and a photo of the home by September 15 to [email protected].
Properties will be evaluated on initial impression, selection and placement of landscaping materials, and originality of design.
The Shade Tree Committee says the award is a way to celebrate residents who take pride in their homes and positively impact the community through beautification efforts.
