The Kiwanis Club of Bellefontaine met on Thursday at the American Legion, where members announced plans to celebrate the club’s 100th anniversary in November 2026.
A special gala is being planned, and past members, along with community supporters, are invited to join the festivities by contacting the club at [email protected].
The Bellefontaine chapter was chartered on November 8, 1926, by the Kenton Kiwanis Club through the efforts of C.V. Hadley, who served as the first president. W.D. Coen served as vice president, S.S. Smucker as treasurer, and H.W. Cassell as secretary.
Since its founding, the club has remained committed to serving children and strengthening the community.

Todd White will serve as President; Hannah Southwood Blake, Immediate Past President; Kyle Springs, President-Elect; Tim Notestine, Vice President; Brad Kunze, Treasurer; and Kelli Bader, Secretary.
Board members include Vicki Rapp, Kevin Braig, Jacob Estes, Dave Woods, Tony Beck, Julie Schrader, and Kris Myers.
Outgoing president Hannah Southwood Blake also announced this year’s Kiwanian of the Year, recognizing Vicki Rapp for her outstanding contributions.
