A Bellefontaine man was arrested Monday evening around 11:20 for an active warrant, having a vape pen, and drug paraphernalia.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of County Road 18 and Township Road 200 in reference to gunshots heard in the area.

Deputies observed two males to be walking from Township Road 200 North on the bike path.

One of the males, David Gambrel, 26, had an active warrant out of Allen County.

He was asked if he had anything illegal on his person. Gambrel handed the deputy a vape pen and said it was a THC pen. He then handed the deputy a baggie from his waistline and said it was a “mushroom.”

Nothing else illegal was found on his person.

He was transported to the Logan County Jail.

Gambrel was lodged for possession of a schedule 1 drug.
