The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that a traffic stop late Friday night led to the arrest of a local man on operating a vehicle under the influence charges.
Just before 11 PM, officers saw a black Jeep make several traffic violations near North Detroit Street and West Columbus Avenue.
Police say the driver, identified as 43-year-old Mateo Rosales, crossed the centerline multiple times, made improper turns, and failed to use turn signals.
When officers stopped the vehicle near the Shell station, they reported smelling burnt marijuana.
Rosales allegedly appeared impaired and had difficulty answering questions.
Police say he was argumentative and admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day.
Rosales refused field sobriety tests.
He was arrested at the scene and transported to the Logan County Jail on an OVI charge.
