Late Wednesday, Bellefontaine Police were called to a home on the 100 Block of Powers Street about a possible sex offense that had taken place.
When officers arrived, they found two men yelling at another male.
The male being yelled at was later identified as Paul Anderson, 34, of Bellefontaine.
One man had accused Anderson of performing a sexual act with a child under 13 years old.
Anderson explained to officers that he was playing Xbox with a female family member and said his emotions got the best of him when he asked the girl to perform a sexual act on him, which she did.
At this time, officers placed Anderson under arrest.
Anderson later admitted that this sort of situation had happened two to three times in the past four years. The most recent time was earlier in the evening.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail on one charge of Rape.
The investigation is ongoing, and a copy of the report has been sent to Children’s Services and the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.
