A Bellefontaine man is facing a domestic violence charge following an early morning dispute on Monday morning.
Around 7:30 a.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of South Main Street after a woman reported being assaulted by 24-year-old Logan Boling.
She explained that an argument started when Boling told her to leave the home they share, and she refused.
Tensions escalated when she wouldn’t give Boling her phone, and then he grabbed her clothes and threatened to sexually assault her.
She said she pushed him away, and he responded by hitting her in the face and side of the head before pushing her to the ground.
Officers then found Boling at a home on North Stanley Street.
There, he admitted to a physical altercation but denied the more serious claims.
Boling said the woman pushed him, and he pushed her back, causing her to fall.
After being taken into custody, Boling suddenly became pale and began slurring his words.
Officers called for medics, and he was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for evaluation.
After being released, he was taken to the Logan County Jail and booked on one count of domestic violence.
