The Bellefontaine Memorial Day Parade is gearing up to be one of the largest yet as the community honors the nation’s heroes and looks ahead to the America 250 milestone.

Organizers are aiming for at least 250 entries this year, with groups from across Logan County and surrounding areas invited to take part.

Bellefontaine Mayor David Crissman is encouraging residents to get involved, with the American Legion leading the parade effort.

Samantha Jackson and Christina Frank, organizers of the parade, give more details about the parade:

Participants can include local bands, first responders, classic cars, businesses, schools, community organizations, or anyone wishing to show their patriotic spirit.

Organizers recommend early registration and a strong patriotic theme for all entries.

The parade will begin at American Legion Post #120 on Colton Avenue, travel up Main Street, continue onto Sandusky Avenue, then head up Hayes Street, and conclude at the Bellefontaine Cemetery.
