Recently, Bellefontaine Police came to the aid of a 74-year-old man after reports of erratic driving raised safety concerns.
The man was seen driving slowly and crossing lanes, and officers followed the vehicle to the Bellefontaine Regional Airport, where it safely came to a stop.
Officers noticed he seemed confused and had trouble walking and using his hands.
They learned he had recently undergone radiation therapy and was feeling dizzy, which may have affected his driving.
Medics checked him and confirmed he was okay.
Concerned for his safety, officers personally drove him home and made sure he was safely reunited with his wife.
A driver retest form was submitted to the state to help ensure the gentleman can continue driving safely.
