Juan Freeman,58, of Akron, was arrested early Saturday morning after police responded to a reported fight at a business downtown Bellefontaine.
According to a Bellefontaine Police report, officers were called around 1:32 a.m.
When officers arrived, Freeman was described as shirtless, agitated, and confrontational.
Police reviewed security video and determined Freeman had been told several times to leave the property.
The video showed Freeman arguing with an employee who was trying to get him to leave after he brought an alcoholic drink into the parking lot.
According to the report, Freeman eventually shoved the employee and attempted to get back toward the business before being stopped.
Freeman was arrested on charges of assault and criminal trespassing.
Police said he resisted being handcuffed and continued struggling with officers during the arrest.
The report also states Freeman made several threats toward officers.
During a search, officers found a small plastic baggie and a blue tube containing white powder residue.
Police later found a glass pipe and other items after Freeman allegedly put them in his mouth while being processed at the Logan County Jail.
Freeman was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital after officers learned he had allegedly ingested something.
He was medically cleared and returned to the Logan County Jail.
Police also reported damage to the cruiser, including gouges to the rear seat and scratches and gouges around the partition window.

Early Saturday morning, Bellefontaine Police arrested 58-year-old Juan Freeman and lodged him in the Logan County Jail.
Freeman is facing charges of tampering with evidence, illegal conveyance of a weapon, and vandalism of a government entity.
Bellefontaine Police said no additional details will be released until Monday morning.
