The Bellefontaine Police Department is inviting residents to join the Citizens Police Academy, starting February 6, 2025.
This free program gives people the chance to learn about the daily work of the police department and become more involved in the community.
During the 10-week program, participants will learn about important topics such as police station tours, K-9 Unit demonstrations, criminal investigations, traffic laws, and crime prevention.
Classes will be held on Thursday nights from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the Bellefontaine Police Department Training Room, from February 6th to April 24th.
To join, you must be at least 18 years old, live in Bellefontaine, or be connected to a local business or organization.
A criminal background check will be done, and those with felony convictions will not be eligible.
The registration deadline is January 31st.
