Bellefontaine City Police made two arrests this week of individuals wanted on outstanding warrants.

On Wednesday, officers responded to a reported domestic dispute at an apartment on Township Road 179.

A woman told police she wanted Joseph Morris, 32, of Bellefontaine, to leave and not return.

While speaking with her, officers learned Morris had active warrants out of Mississippi and Michigan.

Shortly afterward, Morris called 911, claiming he was suicidal and said he wanted to surrender.

Officers located him near Lakewood Avenue after he briefly fled on foot.

Morris complied with officers, was taken into custody without incident, and transported to the Logan County Jail.

Authorities in Michigan confirmed they would extradite him.

On Thursday, officers arrested Roscelle Clark, 64, of Bellefontaine, who was wanted on a felony indictment warrant out of Clark County.

Clark was spotted as a passenger in a vehicle on South Main Street.

He was contacted inside a business in the downtown area, admitted he knew why police were approaching him, and was taken into custody without incident.

Both men were lodged in the Logan County Jail on their respective warrants.
