Bellefontaine Quiz Bowl team competes at Tecumseh

The Bellefontaine Quiz Bowl Team was back in action on Tuesday, at Tecumseh, despite being short-handed.

With several players unavailable due to musical practice and illness, Jeff Smith and Nolan Core represented the team, competing in three matches that evening.

Despite their reduced numbers, the Chieftain Quizzers showed resilience, finishing with a 1-2 record.

They suffered losses to Benjamin Logan and London but triumphed over Tecumseh.

In the first match against Benjamin Logan, Bellefontaine fell 300-240.

Nolan Core led the team with 50 points, while Jeff Smith contributed 40.

The match was closely contested, with the outcome decided on the last question.

Tristan Sheets of Benjamin Logan topped the scoring with 75 points.

The second match was another close one, as Bellefontaine lost to London 265-215.

Jeff Smith led the Chiefs with 55 points, while Nolan Core added 30.

As with the first match, it came down to the final question.

In the final match, Bellefontaine cruised to a 300-35 victory over Tecumseh.

Jeff Smith had an impressive 95 points to lead the team, with Nolan Core contributing 55 points.

Next week, the Chieftain Quiz Bowl Team will be at full strength and will compete again on Monday at Springfield Shawnee.
