The City of Bellefontaine has released its 2024 Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), offering residents important information about the safety and quality of their drinking water.
“The Consumer Confidence Report, or CCR, is required each year by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to let consumers know about the quality and safety of their tap water,” said Ryan Shields, a representative for the city.
In a statement accompanying the report, the city said, “The City of Bellefontaine is happy to present the 2024 Consumer Confidence Report to inform our valuable customers on the quality of their drinking water. This report includes details on where your water comes from, what it contains, and how it compares to standards set by regulatory agencies.”
Officials also emphasized their commitment to transparency and maintaining high standards, adding, “We are committed to providing you with information about your water supply, because customers who are well informed are our best allies in supporting improvements necessary to maintain the highest drinking water standards of our groundwater drinking source.”
The report outlines the source of Bellefontaine’s water, testing results, and how the system continues to meet or exceed all federal and state safety regulations.
The full report is available HERE, and for those who prefer a printed version, the city will gladly deliver a copy upon request.
