Bellefontaine Robotics make strong run at Meaden and Moore

Students from Bellefontaine Robotics turned in a strong performance Saturday at the Meaden and Moore Competition, hosted by Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, with several teams advancing into elimination rounds and earning awards.

Team 9185T Terminator led the Bellefontaine contingent, finishing the qualification rounds undefeated at 6–0 and placing second overall.

Partnered with Team 7316X from Akron, the alliance advanced to the semifinals before being eliminated in a close match by a Brecksville alliance.

Terminator also received the Design Award, which recognizes excellence in engineering design, innovation, and team documentation.

Team 9185K Kratos also had a successful day, posting a 5–1 record in qualifying rounds.

Kratos teamed with 6403Z from Sheffield Village and advanced to the quarterfinals before being eliminated.

Other Bellefontaine teams also competed throughout the event:

  • 9185W It’s Whatever finished 3–3 in qualification rounds and was selected for the 16th alliance. The team competed well before being eliminated in its first match.
  • 9185M Minifridge ended the day with a 2–4 record, with several close matches that reflected the team’s continued improvement and teamwork.

Bellefontaine High and Middle School robotics teams are now preparing for Showdown at the Peak, scheduled for Saturday, February 21, at Bellefontaine High School.

More than 80 teams are expected to compete in the final regular-season event of the 2025–26 season, applying skills in engineering design, coding, and collaboration.

Community members interested in robotics, engineering, or education are encouraged to attend. Matches will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 21.
