On Monday evening around 8:10, officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department observed a vehicle commit a marked lanes violation on North Main Street, south of Beech Avenue.
After a traffic stop was initiated, Deanna Johns, 58, was identified.
Johns admitted to going left of center as she was distracted from “putting her money away.”
Upon running Johns through L.E.A.D.S., she was found to be suspended under a non-compliance suspension and had a warrant for failing to appear in Champaign County Municipal Court on an original charge of driving without a license.
Upon the warrant being confirmed, Johns was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
Johns was issued a traffic citation for driving under a non-compliance suspension and charged with a failure to appear warrant.
