A Bellefontaine woman was arrested for OVI Wednesday evening just after 6 o’clock in the Kroger parking lot.
While en route, Bellefontaine Police were given the license plate and female’s name, Lesley Frost, 39.
Dispatch told officers the caller who reported Frost left the scene after he threw her keys in the parking lot to keep her from driving away.
Authorities arrived on the scene and located Frost sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle.
Officers asked her what was going on and she stated the male she was with threw her keys in the parking lot and left. She said the male previously called her and asked for a ride to Kroger to pick up a money order.
While at the store, Frost said they got into an argument.
Officers observed Frost’s eyes to be bloodshot.
She was asked if she had anything to drink and she stated she drank earlier in the day.
Frost performed field sobriety tests and failed.
She was placed under arrest for OVI and transported to the police station.
Frost consented to a breath test which resulted in a .208, which is just over double the legal limit.
She was cited with OVI and released to a sober driver.
