On Tuesday evening around 6:50, officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department observed a vehicle driven by Carrie Zweifel on East Sandusky Avenue.

Officers were familiar with Zweifel and conducted a warrant check on her.

Zwiefel, 54, had an active warrant through the Logan County Sheriff’s Office for bond revocation.

A traffic stop was initiated off of State Route 540 and Township Road 235.

She was asked to step out of her vehicle until dispatch could confirm the warrant.

When asked if Zwiefel had anything illegal on her, she said she had a “stem” in her pocket and a buprenorphine pill.

Police located two crack pipe stems in her restaurant apron, and she claimed she had a prescription for buprenorphine but did not have it with her.

Zwiefel gave permission to search her vehicle and dispatch confirmed the warrant.

Nothing illegal was found inside her vehicle.

Zwiefel was transported to the Logan County Jail and charged on failure to appear and a felony of the 5th degree on the issuance of a warrant.
