Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 200 block of East Main Street in Belle Center on a report of an injury crash Sunday night around 11:30.
Upon the authority’s arrival, a white Toyota SUV was found on its top in the middle of the street. A gray Honda SUV was observed to have been struck.
Jennifer Titus, 36, was traveling on East Main Street. A Honda SUV was parked on the north side of the road and Titus struck the driver’s front of the Honda SUV. It caused her vehicle to roll onto its top.
Titus was very unsteady on her feet and had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath. She claimed she was not the driver.
Another female, being checked on by the EMS, said that she was a passenger in the vehicle and that Titus was the driver.
While speaking with Titus again, red marks were consistent with a driver-side seat belt on her left shoulder.
A witness informed authorities that he saw a female with a purple tank top get out of the passenger side and a female with a white tank top (Titus) get out of the driver’s side of the vehicle. As the deputy was speaking with the witness, Titus retrieved a sweatshirt from her vehicle and as she was standing up, she lost her balance and fell over.
Titus did not sustain any apparent injuries and she refused consent to field sobriety tests.
She was placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.
Titus was issued a citation for OVI and failure to control.
She has one prior OVI conviction in 2010.
