The Benjamin Logan School Board met in regular session Monday night and agreed to a recommendation from District Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer Leah Baker to allocate funds to pay off a significant loan two years early. According to Baker, making the $716,495.99 payment will save the district $22,850 in interest.

Baker also informed the board that her office received two donations for future classes:
- 2027 – $1,000.04 for prom
- 2029 – $370.00 for start-up funds
High School Principal Annette Alatore recognized the November Seniors of the Month, Josey Queen and Elliot Carpenter.
The board also approves several personnel issues:
Resignations:

- Middle School Yearbook Advisor – Gretchen Powell
Supplemental Personnel Employment, Athletic:
- Cheer Coach Football Varsity – Alison Spriggs
The board also approved an overnight trip for the FFA Camp in Carrollton, Ohio, from June 1-2, 2026.
The board also approved several donations received by the district:
- $250.00 from Quest Federal Credit Union to the BLHS STEM/Robotics Club
- $250.00 from All About Landscaping to the BLHS STEM/Robotics Club
- $100.00 from Middlefield Banking Company to the BLHS STEM/Robotics Club
- $100.00 from Steve Austin’s Auto Group to the BLHS STEM/Robotics Club
- $500.00 from Ohio Lumber Brick and Block to the BLHS STEM/Robotics Club
- $500.00 from Nancy McGuire to the FFA program
- $1,000.00 from Belle Center United Presbyterian Church for the Raider Care Program
- $100.00 from an anonymous donor for the student lunches
- iPad mini for Middle School cheer program by Kristy Daniels, valued at $350.00

The school board adjourned into executive session and, upon returning to open session, decided that at the reorganizational meeting on January 12, 2026, they will officially appoint board member Deron King to fill the remaining two years of his term.
The next Benjamin Logan School Board meeting will be held on December 15, 2025, at 6:00 PM.
