The Benjamin Logan Board of Education met in regular session on Monday night and was updated on how the district performed in achieving the goals the board established for the 2024-2025 school year. District Superintendent John Scheu reminded the board of the goals set for the 2024-2025 school year: achieving a 4.5 or better overall rating on the Ohio School Report Card, ending Fiscal Year 2025 with revenues exceeding expenditures, 100% of teachers and administrators trained in Science of Reading by June 30, 2025, maximize student learning with time on task, and communicate with the community on school-related topics.

The board also approved the financial report submitted by District Treasurer/CFO Leah Baker. She stated that the district ended the fiscal year with a carryover balance exceeding $64,000. She also said that it would be a primary goal of hers to pay off the district’s PI loan early, which would save the district over $24,000 in interest payments.
