Benjamin Logan High School students showcased their business skills at the Region 16 Business Professionals of America (BPA) Workplace Skills Contests held on Wednesday at Ohio Northern University.
The event brought together Career Tech students to compete in a variety of business-focused categories, including finance, management, marketing, medical, and information technology events.
BPA contests are designed to prepare students for leadership roles in the business world by challenging their abilities in real-world scenarios.
Caroline Spriggs, BLHS BPA President stated, “I enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone and competing in Prepared Speech. I also enjoyed participating in the activities they had planned for us and exploring campus. I am looking forward to state contests for the second year!”
“We are incredibly proud of our students for their dedication and hard work to study, plan, and present their events. They effectively applied classroom knowledge to real-world situations, developing skills that will serve them well in any future career path they choose.” said Mandi Wood, BPA advisor for BLHS.
BLHS was represented on stage 70 times at the regional contests.
Twenty students qualified for the Ohio BPA State Leadership Conference, which will be held in Columbus in February.

Business Professionals of America is a national organization focused on developing leadership, citizenship, and workplace skills among students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, and other professional fields.
