Benjamin Logan Elementary recently hosted its Annual Science Fair, and the results were impressive.
Students in grades 1–4 brought their curiosity and creativity to life through 67 total projects—each one showing hard work, thoughtful questions, and a willingness to learn by doing.
From everyday experiments to bigger engineering ideas, students explored topics that connected science to the world around them. Some projects asked fun, real-life questions like:
- How much salt does it take to float an egg?
- Which juice cleans pennies best?
- Will bananas brown faster on the counter or in the fridge?
- Which color of Skittles appears most in a bag?
- Which breakfast cereal contains the most iron?
- How bread reacts in different environments
Other students tested designs and built creations such as:
- Paper airplane catapult
- Baking soda and vinegar powered rockets
- Floating Maglev Train
- Battery Battles!
- Watermelon Explosion
- Best Magnetic Slime
The Science Fair gave students a chance to practice important skills—asking questions, testing ideas, learning from results, and confidently sharing what they discovered.
