Monday, students at Benjamin Logan Elementary enjoyed a fun and educational introduction to the voting process through classroom mock elections.
Mrs. Braddocks’s class held a spirited “cookie election,” where students “tested” two candidates, Oreo and Chocolate Chip, before casting their votes.
After tallying and graphing the results, Oreo emerged as the winner.
Meanwhile, third graders in Mrs. Morgan Dixon’s class participated in a mock election by creating voter registration cards, casting ballots for their favorite candy, and writing reflections on their choices.
This interactive experience gave students a glimpse into the voting process and taught them about decision-making and civic responsibility in an engaging way.
Benjamin Logan Elementary is proud to foster learning activities that help build future-ready, responsible citizens.
