One of the Mechanical Principles classes from Benjamin Logan High School took on a unique challenge: organizing a petting zoo for local elementary students.
The result was a resounding success, with 263 excited young visitors enjoying a hands-on introduction to agriculture.
The petting zoo featured a variety of animals provided by Benjamin Logan FFA members and their families.
In addition to meeting the animals, students took part in several engaging activities.
Highlights included a corn-filled kiddie pool scavenger hunt and a crowd favorite, “Pin the Tail on the Cow.”
Each child received a goody bag filled with small prizes, all made possible through the efforts of the FFA chapter.
These activities helped create a fun and educational experience for all who attended.
“The events on Saturday allowed kids to dip their feet into agriculture,” said FFA member Ashley Peters. “Despite the rain, students brought smiles to kids’ faces with games, prizes, and animal exhibits. FFA students got a chance to interact with the community and share what they are passionate about.”
The Benjamin Logan FFA Chapter is proud of the initiative shown by its members and thankful for the community support that made this event such a memorable experience for the students.
