Benjamin Logan High School honored a group of dedicated and talented young artists on Friday during its annual National Art Honor Society (NAHS) induction ceremony.
Led by art educator Mrs. Jennifer Davis, the event recognized returning members along with newly inducted students who have excelled in artistic achievement, leadership, and community service.
Returning NAHS members include Haley Bradley, President; Catherine Bramlage; Charley Hardman; Junah Hardman; Tony Tambaro; River VanVoorhis; and Landon Braddock.
New members welcomed into the society this year are Callie Bolen, Autumn Cline, MaKinley Hall, and Makinzy Legge.
These students met NAHS’s rigorous standards in both artistry and character.
The organization encourages creative growth while promoting service projects that use the visual arts to enrich the school and broader community.
Assistant Principal Jeff Fay served as the guest speaker, sharing a message about the value of the arts in education and everyday life. Fay emphasized the importance of creativity as a powerful tool for expression and human connection.
“Art gives us the freedom to express what words cannot always say,” Fay told the inductees. “Whether you’re creating for fun, to process emotion, or to share a message, never underestimate the impact of your creative voice.”
The National Art Honor Society was founded to recognize outstanding visual arts students and promote scholarship, character, and community engagement.
Members participate in service-oriented projects, gain leadership experience, and deepen their appreciation for the arts.
