Benjamin Logan Quiz Bowl finishes second at tournament, earns national bids

The Benjamin Logan Quiz Bowl team competed in the 1st Annual Hardin-Hancock-Logan League Tournament on Saturday at Kenton Middle-High School, finishing second overall and earning national recognition.

With the strong performance, the Raiders secured bids to two major national competitions — the NAQT National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia, and the NAQT Small School Championships in Rosemont, Illinois — both scheduled for later this year.

Representing Benjamin Logan in tournament play were senior Ethan Van Winkle, juniors Junah Tingley and Emily LeVan, and sophomore Michael Berry.

ingley, Berry, and senior Winnie Bodin were also recognized for outstanding individual performances throughout league play this season.

The team is coached by Michael Kettler, a University of Findlay instructor who teaches CCP Chemistry 111, physics, and materials science at Benjamin Logan High School.

The Raiders will return to competition at the Parkway Invitational on Saturday, January 24, 2026, before preparing to defend their title as Central Buckeye Conference Quiz Bowl Champions in February.
