Junah Hardman, a 10th grader at Benjamin Logan High School, has been selected to represent the district in the 2026–2028 Ohio House of Representatives High School Student Art Exhibition.

The exhibition is a distinguished statewide showcase of student creativity and artistic excellence.

Hardman’s piece, a mosaic made with glass and mirror, showcases exceptional craftsmanship through its intricate design.

The work highlights both technical precision and creative expression, earning recognition at the state level.

Hardman’s mosaic was created under the guidance of Benjamin Logan High School art teacher Jennifer Davis and is one of just 99 works selected statewide, representing each legislative district in Ohio.

Davis photographed the piece for submission, as the exhibition committee will have the image professionally printed, matted, and framed for display.

Because of the mosaic’s unique shape, the image was designed with added color and texture in the background and is bordered by Hardman’s mosaic artistry to preserve its visual impact.

This highly competitive exhibition is sponsored through a partnership between the Ohio House of Representatives, the Ohio Arts Council, and the Ohio Art Education Association.

The exhibition will be displayed at the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts in Columbus, where it will be viewed by legislators, state leaders, and thousands of visitors over two years.

A formal reception honoring participating student artists and their families will take place on September 26, 2026.

In addition to statewide recognition, each selected student artist will receive a $100 award and have the opportunity to include this achievement in future college and career portfolios.

“This recognition highlights the incredible talent and dedication of our students and the strength of our arts programming at Benjamin Logan,” said Sally Stolly, District Administrator. “We are proud to see Junah’s work represented at such a prestigious level.”
