Several Benjamin Logan High School students have been recognized with AP Scholar Awards by the College Board.

These awards honor students who have demonstrated exemplary college-level achievement through their outstanding performance on AP Exams.

The AP Scholar Awards are significant academic distinctions that students can include in their applications and résumés, showcasing their dedication and academic prowess.

Although no monetary award accompanies these honors, the recognition reflects the students’ hard work and exceptional academic achievements.

Award Criteria:

  • AP Scholar: Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
  • AP Scholar with Honor: Granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

“We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and dedication,” said Annette Alatorre, Principal of Benjamin Logan High School. “Their achievements on the AP Exams demonstrate their commitment to academic excellence and their readiness for college-level coursework.”

AP Coordinator Sally Stolly extends her heartfelt praise to the AP teachers who have shown exceptional dedication to their subjects and their students. “Our AP teachers deepen their instruction and elevate their students’ learning potential by participating in professional learning programs, both in person and online,” said Stolly. “They have engaged in many hours of content-rich training throughout their careers designed to strengthen how they teach their AP courses.”

The AP Program offers students the opportunity to take college-level courses and exams while still in high school. Achieving high scores on these exams can earn students college credit, advanced placement, or both, at many colleges and universities.
