If you like watching marching bands, Bellefontaine High School is the place to be this weekend.
BHS will host its 38th annual Band Spectacular on Saturday night at seven o’clock at AcuSport Stadium.
The Band Spectacular started as a band competition but has evolved into a fun performance opportunity for area bands.
A variety of music and styles will be represented in each band’s performance, making each show unique. Different types of bands will participate, such as show bands (non-competitive bands) and contest bands.
Seven area high school bands will perform (in the following order): Bellefontaine, Riverside, North Union, Triad, Urbana, Indian Lake, Benjamin Logan, and Bellefontaine.
This year, the “Pride of the Tribe” will be performing two different halftime shows; the first is called “Radio Pop” featuring the music of Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd, and Meghan Trainor. The second show is titled “Icons” and features music by The Doors, The Rolling Stones, and Hank Williams Jr.
Admission is $7 CASH ONLY at the gate.
The Bellefontaine Music Boosters will be selling concessions. 50/50 tickets will also be available.
