A Bellefontaine High School student has earned a prestigious honor.
BHS sophomore Landon Severt has been selected for the All-Ohio State Fair Band.
He will represent Bellefontaine and Logan County at the State Fair this summer with marching, concert, and parade performances.
Severt plays the trombone in the Bellefontaine High School Marching Band.
Approximately 200 students across Ohio were selected to play in the State Fair Band.
Practices will begin on July 25th.
Band members will receive lodging and meals from the Ohio Expo Commission.
BHS Band Director Ken Hoffman said, “I think this is an awesome opportunity for Landon. He’s going to represent Bellefontaine and Logan County at the state level.”
The Ohio State Fair is July 29th-August 9th.
