Two Benjamin Logan FFA members participated in the Agricultural Mechanics CDE recently.
Senior Justin Elliot and Junior Kaylyn Elliott both qualified to compete in the District 6 Agricultural Mechanics CDE.
The purpose of the CDE is to assess the student’s skills in agricultural mechanics that occur in maintenance and repair.
Students demonstrate the proper use of tools and apply their knowledge to daily situations in agricultural mechanical environments.
Before the competition, the students participated in a written exam to confirm their knowledge of the event. “It was a wonderful experience,” Elliott said, “to go out of my comfort zone, learn and experience things that I do and don’t know about.”
