Thirty-two Juniors and Seniors, along with two honorary staff members, from Benjamin Logan High School were tapped and inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS) during a ceremony held in the high school auditorium. To qualify for NHS, students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.50 and are selected based on their excellence in Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
Students are expected to actively participate in their school and community while demonstrating leadership both inside and outside the classroom. For selection, students must exhibit outstanding qualities in all four areas and are evaluated by teachers, advisors, and coaches. Final decisions are made by the faculty council.
This year’s inductees include Natalie Chapman, Blake Frazier, Zoey Lavender, Nora Elliott, Skylar Miracle, Chloe Crumm, Josey Queen, Winnie Bodin, Haley Bradley, Marlee Butcher, Avery Carmer, Annika Chappell, Rylan Norviel, Honorary Member Jamie Hughes, Joe Meeker, Wyatt LeVan, Elliott Carpenter, Adilynne Gregg, Scarlett Elliott, Carter Daniels, Peyton Vermillion, Caroline Spriggs, Keaten Varner, Bre Allen, Miley Buettner, Miah Defibaugh, Honorary Member Kae Lynn Lyden, Greyson Wagoner, Tyler Shoopman, Kameron Lockwood, Ella Chamberlain, Mercedes Marcinko, and Charlie Hardman.
This year, Benjamin Logan High School will host the NHS County Induction Ceremony on Wednesday, November 6, at 6:30 p.m.
