Bellefontaine Middle School’s VEX Robotics teams had a standout weekend at the North Union Middle School Qualifier.

The big headline came from Team 9185B – the “Banana Boys” — who powered through the bracket to become Tournament Champions.

They partnered with Zanesville Middle School’s ZMS Robotics to secure the top spot, and both teams have now qualified for the Ohio State VEX Robotics Competition this spring.

Team members include Colson Garver, Beau Gibson, Beckett Kesler, Jackson Lynch, and Jackson Maus.

Team 9185F – the “Picklebots” — also had an impressive performance, finishing qualifying rounds with a strong 5-1 record.

They advanced to the semifinals before falling in a tight match.

Picklebots members are Owen Smith, Zane Chiles, and Jayden Lambert.

Other Bellefontaine teams — 9185D, 9185N, 9185S, and 9185Y — competed hard, demonstrated excellent teamwork, and gained valuable experience throughout the day.

All Bellefontaine robotics students represented their school and community with pride, dedication, and sportsmanship.

Bellefontaine Robotics will compete again on Saturday, November 15th, when BMS hosts the “King of the Hill” event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
