The City of Bellefontaine issued a boil advisory for several neighborhoods on Thursday morning.
The advisory will remain in effect until water samples are collected, tested, and confirmed safe, with results expected by the end of the business day on Friday.
Residents in the following areas are affected:
- All of Richard Avenue
- All of Paul Street
- All of Prospect Avenue
- 1301 South Main Street
- 1301 through 1504 Wright Street
Residents are advised to boil tap water for at least 5 minutes before consuming it—this includes drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.
If water appears cloudy or discolored, allow it to run until it clears before boiling.
City officials will notify residents once the advisory is lifted.
