A boil advisory is in effect for a small area of Bellefontaine following recent water system work.
Residents at 521 East Sandusky Avenue and 220, 217, and 212 Grant Street are being asked to boil their water for at least five minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth.
City officials say the advisory will remain in place until water samples are collected and tested to ensure safety.
If water appears discolored or cloudy, residents should let it run until it clears.
The city will notify affected customers once the advisory has been lifted.
