UPDATE: The boil advisory has been lifted. Water in the affected areas has been tested and determined safe to consume.

The City of Bellefontaine Water Department has issued a boil water advisory for residents in the following areas: 908-1001 Rush Avenue and 116-300 Blair Avenue.

This advisory has been put in place as a precautionary measure following Monday’s water main repair.

Residents in these areas are advised to boil all tap water for at least five minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, or brushing their teeth.

If your tap water appears cloudy, allow it to run until it clears up.

The advisory will remain in effect until water quality tests confirm that the water is safe for consumption.

Once testing has been completed and the water quality is deemed safe, residents will be notified when the advisory is lifted.

The City of Bellefontaine apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the patience of the affected residents.
