Just one more session left for the Bellefontaine PD’s Citizens Academy, and the department spoiled their students with a steak dinner grilled by Interim Police Chief Chris Marlow.
The steaks were donated by the BPD’s Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association.
The class met Thursday evening and learned several self-defense tactics from local trainer Rich Stevenson. Stevenson expressed how it is important to be aware of your surroundings at all times and give tips on how to get away from tough situations.
Students then got to experience the Bellefontaine Police Department’s MILO Training simulator. Office Doug Walters explains:
The class will meet next week at the Logan County Fish and Game to shoot some of the department’s wepons arsenal and then will graduate from the academy on May 4th.
