Bellefontaine Mayor Ben Stahler and the Bellefontaine Police Department’s Interim Chief Chris Marlow ushered in the BPD’s newest officer Wednesday afternoon.
Savarrah Crabtree was sworn in just past 1 PM. Crabtree will train with the department for at least 12 weeks before she will patrol Bellefontaine on her own. Crabtree is a recent graduate of the police academy of the Delaware Career Center.
Crabtree is the second female officer on the department’s staff roster.
