Engaged at Indian Lake, Couple Returns to Logan County with Their Broadway Love Story
Broadway stars Libby Servais (“Wicked”) and Stephan Stubbins (“Mary Poppins”) will kick off the 2024-2025 Holland Presents season at the Holland Theatre with their acclaimed show, Broadway In Love. The performance will take place on September 7, 2024.
Originally from Ohio, Servais and Stubbins first connected on a trip to Indian Lake in 2018. Since then, they have married, welcomed a child, and taken their show on the road across the United States. Their return to Logan County is particularly special for them, as it marks a full-circle moment in their journey together.
Broadway In Love is a musical celebration that combines the most enchanting and humorous Broadway songs with personal anecdotes from the couple’s careers and romance. The show features beloved songs from “Wicked,” “South Pacific,” “Frozen,” “My Fair Lady,” “Phantom of the Opera,” and more, as well as music by Dolly Parton, Billy Joel, Carole King, and Neil Diamond.
“This performance is going to be extra special, having shared one of the most important weekends of our life right here in Logan County,” said Stubbins. “Be prepared to be swept away with the stories, the music, the laughter, the magical moments, and the collective spirit of fun as we get you clapping and singing along with the best of Broadway’s greatest hits!”
The evening will be enhanced by a live three-piece band accompanying Servais and Stubbins onstage.
Libby Servais, known for her portrayal of Glinda in “Wicked,” has also appeared in the National Tour and San Francisco company, and was featured on NBC’s “A Very Wicked Halloween.” Her off-Broadway and regional work includes roles in “Lysistrata Jones,” “The Magnificent Seven,” “Chicago,” and “Legally Blonde,” where she earned a Broadway World award for Best Actress in a Musical.
Stephan Stubbins’ career highlights include his role in “Mary Poppins” on Broadway, performing in the pre-Broadway world premiere of “Memphis,” and opening for legends like Frank Sinatra and Rita Moreno. He has also collaborated with artists such as Dick Van Dyke, Kristin Chenoweth, and Ben Vereen. Stubbins co-founded the Broadway Under the Stars concert series in California’s wine country.
