Bellefontaine High School recently named its October Seniors of the Month, Claire Brown and Carter Caudill.

Claire Brown is the daughter of Brad and Kim Brown of Bellefontaine.

School activities and awards: Basketball, Spanish Club, Envirothon, National Honor Society, Courtyard Project, AP Scholar with Distinction, Honda Achievement Breakfast, and Academic Boosters Recognition.

If I were principal for a day: I would first establish a procedure for food delivery services as an incentive for positive behavior (example DoorDash). Second, I would overhaul the PBIS system so the currency of PBIS points is not inflated by teacher’s choice and distribution quotas, but instead by measurable goals and successes.

Favorite school memory: An elephant ride during the 3rd-grade circus trip.

People who have been an inspiration to me: Ms. Mount, Ms. Yvette, and Gibbs from NCIS.

Lately, I’ve been reading: The American Pageant.

My advice to parents: Encourage your child to try new things and foster any passions, however remote; this includes sushi sales and food truck dreams.

My biggest regret: Being too afraid to make changes in the lives of myself and those around me.

Where I see myself in 5 years: I will have graduated from college with a certified public accountant license and the beginning of a restaurant empire.

Carter Caudill is the son of Art Caudill and Kelly Caudill of Bellefontaine.

School activities and awards: Football and Track.

If I were principal for a day: I wouldn’t have school.

Favorite school memory: Football Friday Nights.

People who have been an inspiration to me: My parents.

Lately I’ve been reading: Sports news.

My advice to parents: Act like you want your kids to act and be a good role model. Also, support your kids in whatever they do.

My biggest regret: I wish I was more focused on my grades freshman year.

Where I see myself in 5 years: Completing my college degree and pursuing my career.
