The Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in Belle Center on Friday for a reported domestic issue.

The victim reported that Hunter Browning, 25, of Huntsville, contacted her to go to the casino on Thursday, even though a Civil Protection Order (CPO) was in place against him; she went.

The victim said everything was fine until they were driving home.

Browning allegedly refused to let her out of the car and drove over 100 mph.

She claimed she tried to call 911, but Browning took her phone.

Once at home, Browning reportedly dragged the victim inside, and they began to argue.

A neighbor heard the commotion and called the authorities.

When deputies arrived, she claimed that that was when Browning held her down, covering her mouth and nose, until she fell asleep.

The victim told deputies that when she came to, it was the next morning, and Browning was gone.

She reported minor pain above her left hip, but no injuries were visible.

Deputies went to Browning’s home in Huntsville, but he was not there.

According to the jail inmate list, Browning was arrested Tuesday evening and is now in the Logan County Jail on abduction and strangulation charges.

He also faces possible charges of strangulation, unlawful restraint, domestic violence, and CPO violation.
