School activities and awards: NHS, YLA, Key Club, Ski Club, ASB social director, ACSI fine arts festival 4-time superior award recipient, concert/jazz band, Springfield Youth Symphony, drama club, Cedarville honor strings, Cedarville symphony student guest violinist, Honda OSU STEM award, and superior honor roll
If I were principal for a day: I would allow everyone to wear sweatpants & get coffee with 2 shots of espresso for all the upperclassmen.
Favorite school memory: The 8th grade DC trip was so much fun.
People who have inspired me: My Aunt Mary. She’s an incredible, hard-working person with amazing ambition and optimism. Mrs. Wren, Mrs. LaBelle, Ms. LeCrone, and Mrs. Hermiller have helped me as a person and in my relationship with Christ.
Lately, I have been reading: “Robinson Crusoe” by Daniel DeFoe and “Amusing Ourselves to Death” by Neil Postman
My advice to parents: Always make sure you talk openly to your children about feelings and ask them how you can help if they’re going through something stressful. Knowing you’re there to help them, definitely makes a difference.
My favorite scripture verse: “She is clothed in strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come” Proverbs 31:25
What I will be doing after high school: I will be going to Cedarville University to study psychology with an emphasis on neuroscience and psychological research.
What I’m looking forward to after high school; I’m looking forward to experiencing life on campus and learning useful skills and meeting new people.
What I will miss the most: Being with all the people I’ve known since elementary school and sharing memories with them. I’m so glad I got to be in an amazing class.
