Calvary Christian High School honored the Class of 2025 on Thursday evening with a graduation ceremony celebrating the students’ hard work, leadership, and involvement throughout the year.
The graduating seniors earned a combined total of $379,300 in scholarships.
Ben Vollrath served as the keynote speaker, offering words of encouragement and advice to the graduates as they prepare for their next steps in life.
The Class of 2025 was led by:

Many graduates are headed toward higher education, trade schools, or joining the workforce:
- Elisabeth Bump plans to work at a salon after earning her cosmetology license.
- Joshua Carnes will begin an apprenticeship at RNR Electric and hopes to run his own business in the future.
- Preston Carnes plans to attend the Missouri Welding Institute to become a welder.
- Nate Davis received a bowling scholarship and will attend the University of Northwestern Ohio to study diesel and automotive technology.
- Kari Gantz, a National Honor Society member, received multiple scholarships and will study medical imaging at Rhodes State College.
- Leland Henry plans to enter the workforce to become a paraprofessional.
- Jeremiah Hermiller, also in the National Honor Society, received a fine arts scholarship and is considering his future path.
- KayLee Hurley plans to study early childhood education at The Ohio State University, Lima.
- Nicolas James will attend Columbus State Community College to study financial accounting.
- Noah James is planning to become a firefighter/paramedic and will start with EMT training at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center.
- Abigail Rogers will study dental hygiene at Rhodes College in Lima.
- Ian Schmidt plans to work in residential construction and remodeling.
- Nora Thornton, a merit scholarship recipient, will study Secondary English Education at The Ohio State University Lima.
- Lila Wilson will travel to England for a farm internship while working and volunteering.
- Ezekiel Wylie earned several scholarships and will attend Spring Arbor University in Michigan, studying mechanical engineering and playing college basketball.
- Daniel Young will attend Cedarville University, majoring in finance and receiving several academic and leadership scholarships.
Teachers and staff praised the Class of 2025 for their academic success, leadership, and contributions to the school community.
