On Sunday, Officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department observed a Chevy with no rear license plate light, driving on South Main Street.
The vehicle stopped at a red light, passed the stop bar, ran a stop sign, and crossed over the yellow line multiple times.
Officers ran the license plate and saw the owner of the vehicle was under multiple suspensions.
Finally, the operator of the vehicle pulled into a driveway and exited the vehicle.
The driver, identified as Zakk Caudill, of Bellefontaine, had slurred speech and an odor of alcohol.
Officers placed him under arrest and transported him to the Bellefontaine Police Department, where he blew a BAC of 0.252, just over 3 times the legal limit.
Caudill had 2 prior OVI convictions and was charged with OVI, Driving Under OVI Suspension, Driving Under 12 Point Suspension, Driving Under Non-compliance Suspensions, Stop Sign Violation, Stop Light Violation and a Marked Lane Violation.
He was then released to a sober driver.
