A 19-year-old North Lewisburg woman was cited following a single-vehicle crash late Sunday night in Union Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers from the Springfield Post responded just after 10 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, to a reported minor injury crash on Pisgah Road, just north of the Hurst Road intersection in Champaign County.

The preliminary investigation determined that a 2021 Honda Pilot, driven by Mckenna Cochran, 19, was traveling eastbound on Pisgah Road when it traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Cochran and her passenger, Brandon Martin, 18, of Fairborn, sustained minor injuries and were transported by ground ambulance to Mercy Health–Urbana Hospital for treatment.

Cochran was found to be at fault in the crash and was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control of a motor vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Springfield Post.
